Adverse Childhood Experiences is the term used to describe all types of abuse, neglect, and other potentially traumatic childhood experiences. ACEs have been linked to risky health behaviors, chronic health conditions, low life potential, and early death. We cannot change the trauma experienced, but we can change the outcomes. Part 1 focuses on how ACEs start in pregnancy and how do these ACEs compromise brain development and affect behaviors? Part 2 is scheduled for September 13th. Strongly recommended for caregivers, professionals working with our population, SWs and ISFC homes.
